70% Mohair ~ 30% Pearl Satin Angora Rabbit

The pearl variety of the Satin Angora is one of the lesser seen colors of extreme beauty. Just like its name sake, the pearl fiber is shiny yet amply soft like no other fiber. The softness of Angora is best compared as a luxury fiber, but no other fiber can truly compare to bunny with skin trials. Angora is the softest fiber in the world. The Mohair in this yarn is harvested from Angora goats and blended with Angora rabbit fiber making for a strong, sturdy, skin soft lusterious yarn. This sport weight yarn is strong enough to knit up socks and soft enough for your baby blanket project.

Qualities of the yarn: The yarn has a short and a long halo. I blended Senior and Junior rabbit fiber together to create a stronger halo in the yarn that will come out as a dark chocolate. The yarn has a mild amount of slubbing and barnyard qualities, overall I am very pleased with the twist ratio and outcome of the yarn. You will find the yarn to be dependable and pleasurable on the hook. It would be cool to see this yarn in dye projects, something on rose theme.

(The mohair in this yarn comes from a friend with a lovely goat herd in the hills of PA and milled at ANF in Somerville OH)
