This is pure raw Angora that has been washed and dyed. This fiber spins up silky smooth, opening up easily in your hands. This purple Angora batch has a 4” staple length and is a mix of Jr giant Angora and satin Angora (shine and crimp!)

My hand dyed bunny is quickly becoming my signature item because of it's rich color and ease of spinning in the raw. I dye with various brands, mostly Cushing and Country.

When you receive the fiber, it will be bagged and slightly clumpy. I leave the fiber in this state until it's ready to spin to prevent flyaway and fine felting. When you're ready to start spinning, get a big basket and spend ten minutes opening up the fiber into a cloud by gentle pulling out the clumbs using your fingers, no combs! Combs will cause breakage, the fiber should easily open up like a silk ball or roving that's been shelfed.
